Scottish fighter Hannah Rankin (11-5, 2KOs) is celebrating becoming a two-time world champion after beating Swede Maria Lindberg (19-8-2, 10KOs) by unanimous decision to take the vacant WBA and IBO female world super-welterweight titles.
After a close contest at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the judges scored it 98-92, 98-92, 97-93 in favour of the home fighter, Rankin.

For the Glaswegian, there are unification fights out there with the WBC, WBA, and IBF belts all currently vacant.
In other action, Michael Gomez Jr (15-1, 5KOs) did exactly what he said he would do and that was to punish Sufyaan Ahmed (5-3) for making him wait over an hour at the weigh-in only to turn up overweight. The 26-year-old from Manchester, son of the former British champion Michael Gomez, stopped Sufi on the minute mark in the fourth round to lift the Central Area super-featherweight title, which was the same belt his father first won during his pro boxing career back in 1999.
There were two other konckouts on the night, with cruiserweight David Jamieson (7-1, 5KOs), 29 from Scotland, halting Dudley's Dave Preston (0-3) in round two of a scheduled six, and 'Mr. Excitement' Nathan Mizon (2-0, 1KO), from Tadworth, Surrey, blasting Czech Republic's Jan Prokes (1-17-3) away within two minutes to double his win tally.
There was another female super-welterweight from Glasgow on the same show, as debutant Lilyella Craw-Seaman (1-0) kicked off her pro career with a points win over four-rounds against Ester Konecna (1-11-1).
