Goodwin Boxing signs Annelle Massey from Kent to join Nicola Adams and Sam “SJ” Smith
Kent’s Annelle Massey signs with Steve Goodwin and is aiming for titles
Hot on the heels of World Title Challenger Nicola Adams and Former Commonwealth title challenger Sam “SJ” Smith, Steve Goodwin announced his third female managerial signing in 25-year-old Anelle Massey from Isle of Sheppey in Kent.
Anelle works as a Prison officer and is trained by Dan Woodgate and had good experience as an amateur with 28 bouts. With a style suited to the professional ranks, Anelle is hoping to follow in the footsteps of other Steve Goodwin female signings and compete for major titles.
After boxing for Rumbles BA and Sheerness ABC, Anelle set her heart on turning pro. After teaming up with Dan as her trainer a meeting with Steve was set up and she became very quickly a part of the Goodwin team. “I met Steve on the advice of Dan and was delighted to sign with him. I am really looking forward to the journey and with Steve and Dan behind me I believe I can win a World Title.”
Steve said “Female boxing is making massive strides and we are looking for top talent and in Anelle we have found that top talent. I cannot wait to start working with her and hope to announce her debut date very shortly.”
