Favourite active boxer? “Anthony Crolla and Anthony Joshua at the minute.”

Favourite all-time boxer? “Joe Calzaghe.”

Favourite fight? “Joe Calzaghe v Jeff Lacey.”

Amateur clubs? “Margate ABC, Ramsgate ABC and Isle of Thanet ABC. My dad was involved with all of them and now he runs Isle of Thanet ABC.”

Amateur honours? Won around 45 of roughly 70 amateur fights Senior ABA semi-finalist HSK Box Cup Gold medal Represented England

Goals in boxing? “I will become a champion.”

Retirement age? “No. I’ll keep going, me! I will retire when I reach my goal!”

Team? “My dad, Neil Leach is my coach, Joe Elfidh is my manager as well as coach, Kevin Ibbs is another coach, Dale Mitchell trains me on the pads, Mark Anderson on the strength and conditioning and my brother, Ricky Leach trains with me, as well as all the lads up at Joe’s gym and sponsors are Pingala Media and Sheldons Public House and Access Solutions Kent and PR Manager is Tim Rickson

Boxing style? “Very aggressive but technical style. I’m very clever.”

Ring walk song? “When the beat drops out – Marlon Roudette.”

Favourite brand of gloves? “In the amateurs it was Adidas but now it’s Ringside.”

Favourite colour of gloves? “Red”

Toughest ever opponent? “Toughest opponent was in Ireland and his name was Shaun something. He was small but strong at the weight.”

Best venue? “The Mansion House in Dublin, Ireland.”

Favourite football team? “Liverpool FC.”

Other sports? “Cricket, hockey, football.”

Best friends in boxing? “I don’t have friends in boxing.”

Favourite holiday destination? “Cuba.”

Favourite book? “I read the Harry Potter books when I was a kid. Dave Pelzer produced some good books such as ‘A Child Called It’ and I read them all.”

Proudest achievement? “Winning a gold medal out in Denmark.”

What fight do you want to see happen this year? “Frampton v Quigg. I want to see that happen.”

If you could fight anyone, past or present, who would it be? “I would have loved to have got in the ring with Ricky Hatton.”
