Amateur honours? “ABA finalist, GB championships finalist, Eindhoven International Box Cup silver medallist.”
Biggest achievement in boxing? “My pro debut.”
Toughest ever opponent? “I lost in the Eindhoven Box Cup final to Russia’s international champion. She was really ridiculously tall for the weight!”
Goals in boxing? “To become a world champion.”
Retirement age? “Whenever I’ve achieved what I’ve set out to do.”
Team? “My coach is Sid Siadankey, who has been with me since I started boxing as an amateur. He even coached my fella Paul when he was a young lad, and my eldest son Ayden, who boxes for Sid. He even trains my seven year old Thomas who hopefully will also join the family tradition. Paul Stevenson is my manager."

Pre-fight rituals? “I always have to take the same food pre fight, and that always includes a bag of jelly babies.”

Best venue? “The best venue I have boxed so far is the Grand Central Hall in Liverpool. I would love to box in the Echo Arena.”

Other sports? “I enjoy watching football, well I haven’t got a choice living with three boys who are footy mad, but they're all 'Reds' and I’m a 'Blue', so not always fun!.”

What actor would play you in a film of your life? “Angelina Jolie.”

Favourite food? “Sausage and mash (but has to be my dad’s!”

Motto? “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. You playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people wont feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. Its not just in some of us, its in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear our presence automatically liberates others.”

What is most important to you in your career between money and glory? “Always glory.”
Where do you want to be in your career in exactly one year’s time from now? “British Champion.”
Tell us something that not many people know about you? “This year, I have been looking into midfullness methods, due to finding the past year of my life difficult and have had mental health struggles., and I have started to meditate.”
