Important WBC Silver title defense for Gabriela “Bonita” Sánchez
Friday, December 8, the World Boxing Council Silver flyweight champion, Gabriela “Bonita” Sánchez (9-6), will make the first defense of her green and gold crown at the Miguel Hidalgo Gym in the beautiful city of Puebla.
The Silver champion, born in Puebla, won the belt by defeating tough fighter Angela “Chiquita” Nolasco in an entertaining fight in June of this year.
On this occasion, her rival will be Valeria Pérez (14-9-1, 2KO), who, hungry for a victory, will visit the champion’s turf in search of winning the prestigious WBC Silver title. 'La Pequena' is 30 from Mexico.
Both warriors were face to face at a press conference this Wednesday, where they were respectful, but on edge.
Sanchez has challenged twice for the WBA World title but fell short at light-fly and flyweight. Now, she seeks green and glory with the WBC.
In addition to this important female fight, the card will feature lots of other local fighters.
