Francis Ngannou publicly thank his heavyweight rival and WBC World champion Tyson Fury for being his dance partner.
The 37-year-old Cameroonian took time out to show his appreciation to 'The Gypsy King' for being part of the historic crossover fight that happen in Saudi Arabia on October 28, which saw the UFC star knock the undefeated world champ down in round three, much to everyone's surprise.
After his shocking yet sensational pro boxing debut, "The Predator" stated: “I really want to thank Tyson Fury for his sportsmanship and for giving me the opportunity to enter boxing on the biggest stage in the world.
“While some were too worried about how they looked, what they might lose and what people would say, Tyson showed up and agreed to this fight just out of passion for the war and to give the fans a full night of action. I think we kept our word.
“What a way to debut in boxing and bring together the two sports I love. Thank you Gypsy King.”
Ngannou Next Fight
After the WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman agreed to bestow Francis with a top 15 world ranking, there has been much speculation as to what his next fight could be.
Two-time champ Anthony Joshua and Francis himself have both sut down rumours of their matchup. As Deontay Wilder is in talks to fight AJ next, that rules him out for now too.
Fury and Usyk are signed to an undisputed showdown, so that's all of the top four ruled out, for now.
