"Special" Kay is back!
Former English Super Lightweight champion and European title challenger "Special" Kay Prospere (14-2-1, 7KO) has put pen to paper with London promoter Steve Goodwin to manage the finale of his career.
Prospere was last seen in the ring two years ago when dropping a points decision to Sandor Martin for the European title, away from home in Barcelona. Martin subsequently went on to beat Mikey Garcia before dropping a split decision to Teofimo Lopez for the WBO International title.
Luton's Prospere has unfinished business in the ring, he asserted, "I want one last shot at some big titles and it was an easy decision to sign once again with Steve Goodwin who has guided me so well throughout my career."
The Bedforshire boxer is going through the obligations of re-applying for his licence from the British Boxing Board of Control and once this is completed, he plans to have at least one fight to test the waters before preparing to fight anyone from the 140lbs division, which includes the likes of Dalton Smith, Lewis Ritson, Adam Azim, Harlem Eubank, Sam Maxwell, Robbie Davies Jr, domestically, and world level Brits Josh Taylor, Jack Catterall and Ohara Davies.
Goodwin enthused, "I am delighted to welcome Kay home and look forward to helping him in an exciting finale to his career."
