Florian Montels gains his second WBC Francophone title
Last Saturday, July 24, at the Arenes du Cap d’Agde, Agde, France, Frenchman Florian Montels (21-2-2, 4KOs) defeated France’s Peruvian resident Carlos Stephan Cossio (8-7-3, 2KOs) by unanimous decision to win the WBC Francophone super featherweight title.
The match was highly entertaining, with Florian showing consumate skills by landing the best of the shots, scoring well-deserved and earned points on the judges’ scorecards. With this triumph he conquered his second WBC Francophone title, having previously won the featherweight title by defeating Kevin Escanez.
Those scores were: Robin Dolpierre 97-93, Ali Oubaali 98-92, Francisco Vazquez Marcos 100-90. The Referee was Christophe Fernandez and the supervisor was the Vice President of the WBC and President of the ABU, Houcine Houichi.
