Rivals Josh Taylor and Teofimo Lopez are about to meet for the first time
After weeks of two-way trash talk from afar, Josh Taylor and Teofimo Lopez will finally have their first in-person encounter.
Taylor (19-0, 13KO), the undefeated junior welterweight king from Edinburgh, Scotland, will defend his WBO and Ring Magazine crowns against former lightweight king Lopez (18-1, 13KO) this Saturday night at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Instead of a traditional faceoff, a layer of security will separate the combatants. Additional security has been hired due to the intense pre-fight rhetoric between the two combatants.
Taylor-Lopez and the Xander Zayas-Ronald Cruz junior middleweight co-feature will be broadcast live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. Sky Sports will carry the event in the UK.
