Fabio Wardley shoved by David Adeleye during London presser
It all kicked off on the red carpet for the Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou London press conference today, but surprisingly it wasn't "The Gypsy King" that caused the controversy, it was fellow heavyweights, Fabio Wardley (16-0, 15KO) and David Adeleye (12-0, 10KO).
British champion Wardley was interrupted during the middle of an interview by Adeleye or by one of his team, so he approached him and was instantly met with a violent two handed push from Adeleye that sent him flying backwards.
They were quickly separated by security, but at one point Wardley was then punched by someone who appeared to be on Adeleye's team and found himself on the floor with a cut eye.
It was a mad frenzy for a few seconds, but as the situation calmed down, it became clear that Wardley had sustained a cut on the left side of his face, which will hopefully not put their fight in jeopardy.
Ladbroke Grove's "Big D" Adeleye had been calling out unbeaten Wardley ever since he won the British heavyweight title last year and now they will clash in Saudi Arabia on October 28.
Although it is yet to be confirmed whether the British title will be on the line, as it is not allowed to be fought for outside of the UK.
But these two rivals, who are almost identical in height, will not need any belts on the line to give them the motivation to win, as there is plenty of bad blood spilling over instead.
They only had to come within a few yards of each other for it to all blow up so quickly and violently.
