Bouchlaka and Marjanovic disputing WBC Francophone title
France’s Elodie Bouchlaka (6-1-2) will face Serbia’s Sara Marjanovic (8-9-0, 2 KOs), this Saturday night (April 23) in Toulouges, France, for the World Boxing Council’s vacant Francophone super bantamweight title.
Unbeaten in her last five fights, Elodie is one of the best prospects in France. She has already won the national title and is keen to challenge for this WBC affiliated title, which is the first time it has ever been contested.
While 34-year-old Marjanovic is an experienced fighter who has shown a big heart in each of her fights. She has fought for the WBC Francophone lightweight title once before, unsuccessfully, exactly one year ago.
The winner of this match will be one step closer to the world crown, currently held by Mexican Yamileth Mercado.
This Friday the official weigh-in. Elodie weighed 121.2 pounds, while Sara registered 119.2 pounds.
