Eddie Hearn discusses Katie Taylor vs Chantelle Cameron rematch
Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, in an interview with Betfred, has claimed that Irish superstar Katie Taylor wants to keep fighting for the next five years after there was discussion regarding whether her career is ‘on the line’ in her undisputed super lightweight world championship rematch against Brit Chantelle Cameron on November 25th.
The 44-year-old boxing promoter said of Taylor, “In her head she’s going to keep fighting for the next five years.
“If she loses, then back-to-back defeats is never a good thing. She would still be the undisputed lightweight world champion, but it’s always tough to come back from two defeats. The nature of the defeat is always important because if you get stopped and you look old and not the same fighter you once were, then that’s when you should consider retiring but against Chantelle she probably lost 6-4 or maybe 7-3 and wasn’t at her best, but Chantelle wasn’t at her best either.
“For that reason, I believe we’re going to have a war on November 25th.”
