Following his extremely impressive stoppage win last weekend, Donte Dixon already has his next fight date confirmed.
Dixon (3-0, 2 KOs) will compete on the Bateson Promotions show taking place at the Elland Road Banqueting Suite in Leeds on Friday 6 March.
Billy Joe Saunders was in attendance to see his protege secure a knockout win over Eduardo Valverde on Saturday, and Dixon is now hoping to produce a similar performance next month.
Dixon said: “It’s very good to be back in action because I’m still fit and ready, so I may as well get back in there and put on another amazing performance. Thanks to Eddie Hearn, Frank Smith and Matchroom Boxing for letting it happen.
“Leeds is just around the corner from Sheffield so it’s great because It isn’t too far for people to travel to come and watch me. I was very pleased with the way things went on Saturday and it was exactly how me and my trainers planned.
“It felt very good to hear all the positive feedback because I’m still a baby in the game and with more experience and age I’ll be a lot better because we’re just getting started now.”
Promoter Mark Bateson added: “I’m excited to add Donte Dixon to the March 6 show as he’s another top talent coming through. Watch out for the best of local talent on the show too.”
Dixon joins his MTK Global stable-mate Darren Tetley on the bill, who also makes his much-anticipated return to the ring.
