Bivol sets up camp in Kyrgyzstan and Abu Dhabi, while Ramirez is in the US
Both Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11KO) and Gilberto Ramirez (44-0, 30KO) are in the middle of their training camps for the fight next November 5, in Abu Dhabi, for the WBA Super Light Heavyweight Championship.
Both have been publishing different pictures of their work and messages regarding the fight they will have in a couple of months approximately. Bivol has taken this preparation very seriously and his work began before the fight was confirmed. The champion assured that he will remain as champion and is working accordingly.
Ramirez is doing the same and has been hitting the gym hard, especially since their press conference last week. The Mexican recently told the press that he is thinking about the knockout and finishing his opponent early and that he has all the confidence in himself to pull something like that off.
Bivol has been between Kyrgyzstan and Abu Dhabi for his work, while Ramirez has set up camp in the United States.
BBN Editor, Tim Rickson, commented on the mega-fight, "Bivol's last fight catapulted him into super stardom, which has been a long time coming and rightfully deserved. The Kyrgyz's convincing win over Canelo now places him in the pound for pound top 10 in the world. But his next opponent is a hard-hitting Mexican with an incredible record. A former WBO super-middleweight champion, 'Zurdo' has stopped his last five opponents – three in rounds four and two in rounds 10. He is currently 6-0 in world championships bouts, so he will represent the highest calibre of challengers to the champion.
"Although I appreciate how good Ramirez is, I have higher faith in Bivol to come out on top. I can see Bivol dominating the contest and teeing off Ramirez to beat him in a similar fashion to how he beat Canelo. Ramirez will be trying to get revenge for Canelo and Mexico, but I think Bivol is one of the world's best right now and I can't see him being toppled from the top just yet."
