Debut Corner with Lewis Booth

BBN pay a visit to the talent-filled market town of Doncaster in South Yorkshire to chew the fat with 19-year-old lightweight Lewis Booth. Since conducting the interview, we are pleased to say that Lewis got through his debut with a shut-out points victory over veteran Kristian Laight.   What made you want to start boxing? I was in love with boxing from a young age at around six-years-old but the gym wouldn't take me until I was 10.”   Who was your boxing hero growing up and why? “My heroes growing up was Ali, Eubank and was a very big fan of Tyson.”   How old were you when you had your first fight and how did you do? “I had my first fight at the age of 11 against an older and a lot more experience kid and I won unanimously.”   How well did you do in the amateurs? I had a very good success rate in the amateurs and boxed for England against the Irish team and won. I also beat a lot of top kids.”   What made you decide to turn pro? “Decided to turn pro when I felt like I needed to step up the level because I was holding my own while sparring and training with some top pro's.”   What team do you have around you? “I'm with Bully promotions what is run by Stefy Bull. I have the top team around me with top sparring partners what have fetched me very far.” Lewis Booth with girlfriend What sort of fighting style do you have? “I'm not really a one style boxer it all depends on the opponent. I'm sharp with my hands and fast on my feet.”   What ambitions do you have for your pro career? My ambitions is to go all the way in my career.”   When is your first fight and who will be there in support? My first fight is on the 29th August. I also have a large amount of people coming to watch my debut.”   Tell us something that not many people know about you? “What many people don't know about me is that before a fight I have a lucky medallion on me what is very close to my heart.”   <div class=
