Eddie Hearn confirms April clash for David Allen vs Lucas Browne
'White Rhino' to face former WBA 'regular' champion
It’s the fight that Allen had been calling for all year
Clash confirmed for April, venue yet to be set
Eddie Hearn announced the following news on Twitter on January 24: ‘While you wait for heavyweight news here is one that has been made! @davidthewhiter1 will fight Lucas Browne in April in the UK – full details announced shortly!’
The White Rhino responded with: ‘Ortiz, Whyte, Yoka, Thomas x2, unbeaten nick Webb and now Lucas Browne, only 5 fighters out of 22 had a losing record say what you want about me but I haven't messed about.’
Allen ended last year with a stoppage win over Ariel Esteban Bracamonte and will next face the Australian, a former WBA 'regular' champion, with a venue yet to be announced for the bout.
Browne has racked up two knockout victories since suffering his first professional loss, an explosive knockout by Dillian Whyte at The O2 last March.
