David Picasso wins WBC Silver title
Alan David “Rey” Picasso took a significant step in his career by knocking out Sabelo Ngebinyana and becoming the new WBC Super Bantamweight Silver Champion.
The Mexican showed his dominance in the bout in Mexico City on July 15 and claimed the victory by technical knockout in the sixth round, after Sabelo Ngebinyana’s corner threw in the towel. That makes six successive KOs for the 22-year-old prospect.
The Mexican cimmented, “I have many dreams and today we achieved one of those. I have here the Silver championship in my hands. This is a great step. It is something we have worked so hard for.”
Ranked WBC #3, Picasso (25-0-1, 14 KO) assured that he will be back in the gym right away, preparing for his next fight.
