Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo Fight Prediction
Canelo is just coming off a bout in May where he faced John Ryder in a bid to retain his titles. The fight did not fail to live up to its expectation as it was a bloody encounter that lasted the complete 12 rounds. Alvarez was able to outpoint Ryder, as the Brit refused to go down easily, surviving two knockdowns and a broken nose. Beyond a doubt, Canelo's superior head and body movement could prove too superior for Jermell, combined with his experience. Both fighters will likely go toe to toe, which could lead to a bloody battle, and in situations like this, Canelo's brilliance comes to play.
Despite both fighters being away from the ring for a significant period, Jermell's absence stands out the most. Jermell hasn't had any professional bout since May of 2022, after his 10th-round knockout of Brian Castano. After the fight, Charlo talked about how he wasn't done and was thinking of moving up the weight class. He has definitely done so by jumping up two weight divisions for this bout. Charlo clearly has a lot to prove, so all the pressure would be on him.
Both fighters are willing to put it all on the line, and knowing Canelo, he won't let Charlo have the upper hand. Charlo is one of the best counter-punchers in boxing, which means Canelo has to keep his head in the game all the time. The possibility of a knockout remains high as long as the bout involves Charlo, and as the fight progresses, the American will be hoping to exert his dominance. Undoubtedly, the fight against Jermell promises to be a mouthwatering encounter with nonstop action. Fans should definitely prepare themselves for a long bout that might go all the way.
