“Azteca” Rivera wins FECOMBOX title
Brayan “Azteca” Rivera (11-3, 9KO) became the new FECOMBOX super bantamweight national champion by defeating Odín Juárez (13-1-2, 4KO) by unanimous, removing his undefeated record in the main event of the show presented by “Chiquita González Boxing” and PHILLIPS – ASSA ABLOY, in the Garden City Dome in Nezahualcóyotl, State of Mexico.
After 10 rounds, “Azteca” Rivera prevailed with cards of 97-93, 96-94 and 96-94, in an evening that was attended by Humberto “Chiquita” González, Jessie Vargas , Pipino Cuevas and Mauricio “Bronco” Lara, and which was broadcast live on Adrenalina Sports Network and Aym Sports.
The co-main event was a war between two women, Isis “Empress” Vargas (9-5, 3 KOs) and Jaqueline “Fiera” Mucio (7-11-2), where after eight rounds, the “Empress” Vargas claimed victory by majority decision.
The Judges saw Isis win with cards of 79-73, 76-76 and 77-75, for her victory against a rival who fought from start to finish, but who received many blows from the Empress, who is looking for a new opportunity of world title.
In a six-round fight agreed in the super featherweight division, Ramsés “Faraón” Vargas (6-1-1) defeated Víctor Valencia (4-9-1) with scores of 59-55, 58-56 and 58-56.
