Khan and Gbadamosi triumph in Ghana
Monarch Events and Promotions presented at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra, Ghana a huge boxing event called “King of the Ring 3”.
On this enticing undercard, undefeated Nigerian Adijat Gbadamosi technically knocked out Zimbabwe’s Patience Mastara, capturing the vacant ABU super bantamweight title.
In the main event, Pakistani Tasif Khan (17-1-2, 9KO defeated the dangerous Venezuelan David Barreto (17-3, 16KO) in the second round. With this victory, Khan conquered the World Boxing Council Silver super flyweight title, proving that he is still one of the best boxers from his country at the age of 40.
From Bradford, England, Tasif Khan hasn't lost a bout since 2007. He has won five fights in 20 months, four of which came by way of knockout – all within the first three rounds.
