Darren Stanton analyses Fury's body language ahead of stadium showdown with Whyte
Leading behavioural psychologist and body language analyst Darren Stanton, analysed the interview Tyson Fury gave earlier this week.
Speaking on behalf of Lord Ping, Darren Stanton reveals that Tyson Fury’s ‘emotional state’ could hand Dillian Whyte earn shock victory.
He explained his reasoning, “If Tyson is still in the same emotional state that his body language in his interview suggested, it could well give Whyte the advantage he needs to potentially win the fight.
“He is clearly distracted and thinking about other things – that was evident from his physical movements. He looks to his left ear which means he's recalling conversations from the past inorder to answer the question in a way he's happy with. He looks down and right for the answers, which is significant that emotions have changed and getting stronger, also when the interview presses him about his business matters and upsetting the US Government he is becoming even more agitated.”
“Tyson starts to unravel when he's pressed about his involvement with Daniel Kinahan. It’s evidently playing on his mind personally and professionally as we didn't really see the normal level of showmanship we see in other interviews.
“When quizzed on the matter, he flashed an angry micro-expression at the interviewer, where his forehead wrinkled, his eyes squinted and his lips pierced. At one point, he also expressed a look of disgust, which is when the nose crinkles like when we have smelt a bad smell.
“I am not suggesting he has done anything wrong, but I do believe this is not the Tyson we are used to seeing when being interviewed by the press. He clearly has something on his mind. This interview was devoid of the normal bravado, showmanship and banter we are used to seeing from him.”
