Arslanbek Makhmudov wastes no time in successfully defending NABF title!
Canadian-based Russian boxer Arslanbek Makhmudov (12-0, 12KOs) demonstrated his prodigious punching power by defeating Czech Pavel Sour (13-4, 8KOs) in a swift single round at the Holiday Inn Hall in Cuernavaca, Morelos, on July 23 to retain his NABF heavyweight title.
It only took him just 37 seconds to emerge victorious via knockout!
The end came after Makhmudov connected with a powerful right-hand hook to the face of his rival who crashed to the canvas, requiring timely attention from the Ring Doctor. Fortunately, the Czech fighter was able to recover, without problems.
This excellent card was presented by Eye Of The Tiger and HC Producciones.
38-year-old 'Pablo' was last seen losing in two rounds to Briton Nathan Gorman in March this year. However, the Russian 'Lion' has been calling for a showdown with Joe Joyce, who could be looking for a fight to keep him busy while Anthony Joshua defends his belts to Oleksandr Usyk at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday September 25. 'Juggernaut' Joyce is in line to face the winner, but will need to keep active himself.
