The return of the Sharpshooter
WBO #1 super-featherweight Archie 'Sharpshooter' Sharp (22-0, 9KO) returns to the ring after 10 months out against Mauro Perouene (15-7-1, 8KO) at the York Hall in Bethnal Green this Friday, April 14.
The 27-year-old unbeaten talent from Welling, now trained by Roy Jones Jr, was last seen in action against Romanian Alex Rat in June 2022 in Leeds, which was his only fight of the year.
On this Friday's Bateson Promotions show, Sharp will battle Argentinian southpaw Perouene over 10 rounds.
The 25-year-old from Santa Rosa has fought in England before when he met Dalton Smith for the WBC International Silver super-lightweight title in Cardiff last June. After a knockdown in the sixth round, Perouene retired on his stool before the seventh. He has only won two from his last five fights, but both wins were stoppages.
Also on the bill is Lisa Whiteside vs Tysie Gallagher for vacant Commonwealth super-bantamweight title; Danny Dignum returns to face Lukasz Maciec in less than one month from his last win over Dustin Ammann in Brentwood; and undefeated Jordan 'The Wanderer' Reynolds is back for his second fight of the year against Adam Cieslak.
