Amina Zidani wins WBC Francophone title
On December 17 at the Simone Veil Pole in Le Havre, France, Amina Zidani (4-0, 1KO) won the World Boxing Council Francophone featherweight title by defeating Serbian Nina Pavlovic (7-5-1, 1KO) via unanimous decision.
29-year-old French fighter Zidani showed her considerable skills by dominating the fight from the first round all the way to the final round.
The Judges’ scores: Jesus Gonzalez 100-89, Jean-Robert Laine 99-90, Radoslav Milutinovic 99-90. Brahim Ait Aadi was the Referee and the Supervisor was WBC Vice President Houcine Houichi.
Zidani was a standout amateur representing France for many years in international tournaments and has now continued that success in the paid ranks with her second title in just four fights.
She defeated Mariam Sidibe during the Women's French Championship Amateur on February 16, 2019, then turned professional in 2021.
She won the Federation Francaise de Boxe France super-featherweight title in her second fight and now has a WBC belt in her fourth.
