Ali Akhmedov conquers 168lbs. WBC Silver belt
Kazakh Ali Akhmedov (19-1, 14KO) won the WBC Silver and IBF North American Super Middleweight titles by defeating American veteran Gabriel Rosado (26-16-1, 15KO) by unanimous decision, in one of the main supporting bouts of the “Canelo vs. Golovkin III” card, which took place this Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The fight was dominated by 27-year-old Kazakh Akhmedov, who always showed his superiority, via hand speed and accuracy on the three Judges’ cards. Eric Cheek, Glenn Feldman and Don Trella gave with identical scores of 100-90.
With this result, Akhmedov improved his record to 19-1, with 14 knockouts, while 36-year-old veteran Rosado left the ring with a record of 26-16-1.
