Standout amateur champion from Margate wins first fight in the pro ranks
Senior ABA champion Joe Roswell (1-0) kicked off his professional boxing career with a shutout points victory over three-time Southern Area champion Jamie Speight (15-46) at the York Hall in Bethnal Green on March 14 on a Sinfield Star Promotions event.
Roswell outpointed Speight 40-36 over four rounds at the 'Home of Boxing' in Bethnal Green.
Joe released the following statement on Facebook after his victory, "What a start to my career with my pro debut last night making it 1-0 babeyyyyy! I’m buzzing with how everything has gone and how everyone has been so supportive throughout this whole camp, massive massive massive thank you to everyone that came up to watch, scream and shout, god bless you all and I hope you had a good time.
"Big shout out to my trainers Sammy Holloway and Liam McKeown for always putting 110% into making it happen also shoutout to my sponsors for being on bored and sponsoring me it helps out a huge amount and goes a very long way.

The 20-year-old super-featherweight trains at Ramsgate ABC with trainers Sammy Holloway, a former pro himself, and Liam McKeown. He also counts unbeaten light-heavyweight Paul 'Bomber' Brown, signed to Boxing Connected, as a teammate. The standout amateur won the Haringey Box Cup, the Junior and Senior ABAs and represented England.
The Bethnal Green boxing show had three Southern Area title fights topping the bill.
Dean Richardson (12-0) defended his Southern Area super-welterweight title with a seventh-round stoppage win over Konrad Stempkowski (9-3).
Sean Phillips (7-1-1) needed just 100 seconds to claim the vacant Southern Area middleweight belt with a blisteringly fast stoppage win with just 1:40 on the clock in the first round.
Iain Martell (9-0) outpointed Jose 'The Look' Lopes (9-3) 95-97 in a close contest to secure the Southern Area cruiserweight title.
Kofi 'Poison' Donker (2-0) returned to the ring following an injury to defeat Lee Devine (0-5) 40-36 on points.
