There's 21 UK fighters are currently residing in The Ring Magazine’s top 10 world rankings, making up over 12% of the entire list, which is not bad for our little island.
American heavyweight legend Jack Dempsey was the first ever fighter to be awarded with a Ring world title back in 1922.
Benny Lynch, widely regarded as Scotland’s greatest ever boxer, was the very first Briton to be awarded a Ring belt (flyweight) in 1937, followed by four other Brits, meaning that single coveted championship was on these shores for 23 years.
