UPDATE: Commonwealth featherweight champion Leigh Wood promised to light up the arena for his fans and he delivered on that with a 10th round knockout of challenger Ryan Doyle. A barrage of body shots on the ropes culminating in a left hook to the head saw to it that 'Ruthless' couldn't beat the referee's count.

His first opponent back after his solitary career defeat to Floyd Mayweather's protege Gervonta Davies in 2017 will be against WBF African lightweight champion Jonas Segu (19-8-2), 28 from Tanzania.
