All the details you need to watch the Terence Crawford vs Amir Khan mega-fight

Briton Amir Khan (33-4) will next face three-weight world champion Terence Crawford (33-0).

The Bolton boxer hasn’t been a world champion for over seven years and now goes up against one of the world's pound-for-pound superstars in a bold move.

BBN have listed all of the details a fight fan could need on the forthcoming contest:

Date

The bout takes place on April 20

Venue

It will most likely be hosted at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York, with 20,000 seats available for fight fans, but this has not yet been confirmed. Promoter Bob Arum opted for New York to make travelling easier for Khan's UK army of fans.

Rounds scheduled

12 three-minute rounds at the welterweight limit

Titles

'Bud's' WBO World welterweight title is on the line

Ringwalks

The fight will take place in America so it'll be a late one for UK fight fans, with the ringwalks expected for approximately 4am, but boxing events can be subject to delays.

TV Coverage

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum has an exclusive deal with ESPN in the US, which will be the first PPV event of the boxing promotion's seven-year deal with the network. Regarding the UK TV situation, Arum revealed no deal has yet been agreed for a broadcaster, despite Khan’s relationship with Sky Sports and Matchroom Boxing.

Live Stream

You can find out what happens online via http://www.espn.co.uk/ or follow the official Twitter account for round-by-round action: @ESPN

Price

It's unclear at this early stage if Khan's current promoter Eddie Hearn will televise the fight on Sky Sports Box Office, especially as Matchroom will have a PPV event for Anthony Joshua the week before on April 13 at Wembley. Two PPV's in a row seems highly unlikely, so more details are expected to emerge regarding TV rights.

Tickets

Ticket details are yet to be announced.

Undercard Highlights

The undercard will feature one of the standout boxing prospects of 2018 - Brooklyn-born Teofimo Lopez (11-0). The 21-year-old East-coast favourite, with nine KOs from 11 bouts, known as 'El Brooklyn', tackles former world title challenger Diego Magdaleno (31-2) in his next fight. Should he come through that test successfully, then it will likely set up a big title for him next. Arum praised the talented youngster, stating, "He’s really a phenomenon.”
