Sunny Edwards claims that Ryan Farrag lacks wit and is obsessed with his brother
Sunny Edwards believes he’s comfortably on top in the ongoing war of words with his WBO European super-flyweight title challenger Ryan Farrag.
The pair are engaged in a turbulent tete-a-tete both in the boxing press and on social media, with Farrag recently claiming Edwards has “embarrassed himself” with some of his comments.
Ahead of clashing at York Hall on October 26 – live on BoxNation – Edwards (8-0-KO3) said:“There’s been a lot said between me and Ryan now. It all stems from actual dislike.
“This isn’t faked in an attempt to build the fight. That’s already been made and speaks for itself.
“Everyone knows there’s only one person coming out on top in this because Ryan lacks wit. He hasn’t said much to me apart from picking out my teeth. Beyond that, he’s just obsessed with my brother!
“It’s been good and might have helped sell a few tickets. It’s been fun. I would have lost my mind a bit if he didn’t say anything to me so I’m glad he has. He starts it and I finish it again and again.
“In terms of the fight, I just believe I’m operating at a higher level than Farrag has ever been capable of boxing at and I feel like I’m going to show that on the night.”
