JE Promotions’ prospects Lenny Fuller, Grant Dennis and Martin Hillman are all in action on Channel 5
Maidstone’s Lenny Fuller (2-0); Chatham’s Grant Dennis (11-1); and Sidcup’s Martin Hillman (10-6) all appear on Cyclone Promotions’ Bakole vs Hunter event at the York Hall on October 13.
Middleweight Fuller, 24 from Chart Sutton, goes up against 204-fight veteran Kevin McCauley (15-176-12) over four three-minute rounds. From a travelling background, the talented youngster has amassed a huge following from Maidstone after winning many titles in the unlicensed scene. Trained by Lee Page at the Combat Sports Academy, the father of two has ambitions to win a British title.
Former Southern Area middleweight titleholder and English title contender Dennis has a six-rounder, which is intended to serve as a ‘keep busy’ fight as he awaits a phone call for a big title fight next. The 34-year-old dropped a controversial decision to Elliot Matthews last December and has been calling for the rematch since.
Three-time Southern Area title challenger Hillman goes up against Russ Midgeley (1-19-2) over four-rounds at featherweight. The 'Pie and Mash Kid' has challenged for the Southern Area on three separate occasions and gave a good account of himself each time, losing by just one point on his last attempt at super-bantamweight in the away corner against current titleholder Duane Winters.
Head honcho of JE Promotions, promoter Joe Elfidh, said, "I'm really pleased to have got three of my boxers fights on Channel 5. I could have had all three big ticket-sellers on my own show in Maidstone last week, but when opportunities like this arise, I only have their best interests at heart. I want these talented prospects to get the recognition they deserve on the big stage.
"I'm looking forward to seeing their performances on the night. These guys are all at different stages in their careers – Lenny just starting out, Martin wanting to get back to title fights, Grant looking for a big fight after so long on the sidelines – and this show should provide the exposure they all need."

The pair both made weight comfortably, with McGregor weighing 8st 5lbs 7oz, and challenger Essomba weighing 8st 6lbs.
