Amir Khan opponent Neeraj Goyat ruled out with 'severe injuries' after car crash
Khan vs Goyat is off after car crash injury
Amir Khan is now searching for a new opponent for his next fight in Saudi Arabia on July 12.
Amir Khan's (33-5) planned opponent for his historical Saudi Arabia showdown, Neeraj Goyat (11-3-2), has been hospitalised after suffering "severe injuries" in a car crash.
The Indian pro boxer was set to take on former world champion Khan for the WBC Pearl World Championship in Jeddah on July 12.
Khan has been in Saudi Arabia promoting the bout this week but his 27-year-old opponent suffered head, face and left arm injuries whilst travelling back from training.
Bill Dosanjh, promoter of the Super Boxing League, released the news in a statement and confirmed they are now looking for a replacement to take on Khan.
The former unified world super-lightweight champion was reportedly receiving a £7million fee to face the former Indian kickboxer.
